Pest Control
Pests in our homes and surrounding environment can cause annoyance and some are even of public health concern. The City of Mitcham provides information and advice on how prevent and minimise the presence of these pests including rats, mosquitoes, European wasps, bees, head lice, scabies, bird mites, bed bugs, ticks and millipedes.
Residents are responsible for ensuring pests, such as rats and mosquitoes, are eradicated when a problem occurs. If your treatment is not effective due to your neighbours not assisting to remove pests from their property, Council can investigate and ensure remedial action is taken where necessary. However, it is best to work with your neighbour before contacting the Council.
Further information and advice is available from Council on 8372 8888.
