My bin has been stolen, how do I get a replacement? | As the Council owns the general waste (blue lid) and recycling (yellow lid) bins, Council will replace these bins if they are stolen. A lost property report number is required in order for Council to provide a replacement bin. Visit http://www.reportlostproperty.police.sa.gov.au/ to obtain this report number. If the bin cannot be repaired, a new bin will be provided. | If the lids, wheels or pins are broken please contact East Waste on 8347 5111 or email east@eastwaste.com to arrange for your recycling bin to be repaired. If the bin cannot be repaired, East Waste will advise Council and a replacement bin will be provided. | As residents own the green organics bin, they are responsible for its maintenance. Bins have a lifespan of 10 years and through wear and tear it is often impossible to repair the bin. If the bin can not be repaired, the resident will need to purchase a new green organics bin.
