New Playground at Mitcham Reserve

Council is inviting feedback from the community on two draft designs to upgrade the play equipment at Mitcham Reserve. We invite you to have your say by 5pm Friday 13 October.

The City of Mitcham plans to expand and re-imagine the play space and upgrade the play equipment at Mitcham Reserve on Old Belair Road in Mitcham.

Two designs were developed using feedback from workshops undertaken with children from local schools. Over 50 children participated in a Children’s Voice Workshop held at the reserve in April; their feedback assisted in the development of the concept plans.

The designs feature a mix of nature play and conventional playground equipment. Design A has more nature play features with less formal playground equipment and Design B has more conventional equipment, but less nature play features.

Design A

Option 1 Mitcham Reserve Concept Plan

Design B
