Voices of the Village - Celebrate 175 Years of Mitcham Village
Registrations are Open for Food, Market or Community Stalls for Voices of the Village
Help us celebrate the 175th anniversary of Mitcham Village during Voices of the Village on Sunday 18 October from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm.
Voices of the Village will feature fantastic performances and activities for all ages at a new venue nearby at the Mitcham Reserve.
Opportunities exist for food and market stalls and community information stalls to express interest in participating in the event to be held on Sunday 18 October 2015.

Voices of the Village in 2014
Mitcham came together to celebrate music and culture at Voices of the Village on Sunday 19 October 2014.
The annual Voices of the Village event at the Mitcham Cultural Village, 103 Princes Road, Mitcham was held to:
- celebrate the creative diversity of the City of Mitcham
- promote cross discipline/creative activities and opportunities at the Mitcham Cultural Village
- provide an opportunity for local community groups to be involved in the event
The event was held from 10 am with a Mitcham Uniting Church service. It then incorporated activities such as music and dance performances, workshops, children's activites that included the Amazing Drumming Monkeys, Star Pop and Cool 4 Kids, face painting as well as stalls across the Mitcham Cultural Village Food stalls served up Indian, Persian, Afghan, Indonesian and African style foods as well as Australian cuisine. The Community Shed presented a program in instrument making for families that was well attended throughout the day. The Heritage Research Centre showcased the history of the Mitcham Brass Band and the Institute.
There was plenty of entertainment and food for all ages to enjoy.
