Fund My Neighbourhood

The State Government's Fund My Neighbourhood Program is a participatory budgeting program that gives South Australians the powers to nominate and vote for projects to improve their neighbourhood. 

The City of Mitcham has agreed to be project sponsor and project manager for the projects that were funded by the State based on community nomination and on line voting support.

Avenue Road Reserve Pump Bike Track

Following community feedback Council are proposing to construct the bike pump track at Avenue Road Reserve in lieu of Price Memorial Oval and Council is currently seeking feedback on this proposal.  All the other Fund My Neighbourhood projects are proceeding to implementation by June 2019.

A draft concept plan for a Pump Bike Track at Avenue Road Reserve has been prepared. Feedback is invited by 5pm, 15 March 2019 by completing the online feedback form below.

Fund My Neighbourhood Projects 

Thank you to everyone that provided feedback on the State Government's Fund My Neighbourhood Projects that the City of Mitcham has agreed to project sponsor and project manage based on community on line voting support. 

The six projects are:

  1. Mortlock Park – Toilet, benches and bbq
  2. Avenue Road Reserve - Toilet at playground/skate park
  3. AA Bailey Reserve - Playground upgrade
  4. Waite Street Reserve Blackwood - Playground upgrade to nature play
  5. Price Memorial Oval - Project fun climbing wall and bike track
  6. Downer Avenue Reserve - Belair Nature Play 

A report will be prepared based on feedback from the community and presented to Council for consideration.
