Following the lighting audit undertaken on 24 September 2015 Council has been working with the Kingswood Tennis Club to assess and implement modifications to the lights.

As a result louvers were installed to the light fittings and a further lighting audit was undertaken on the 3 February 2015. As a result the light spill at the property boundary was reduced significantly.

The spill light to properties on Harvey Avenue is studied by lighting design calculations using the pre-curfew method per AS4282 5.2.2.2. This states that the illuminance calculations should be made for a grid of points in the relevant vertical plane (the property boundary/fence). The vertical extent of the calculation grid is determined by the height of the highest relevant point on the adjacent properties, e.g. the height of the highest window. The required height of the grid can be determined by the intersection on the vertical plane at the boundary of 'line of sight' between the luminaires, and relevant points on the adjacent properties.
