Immunisation is a simple, safe and effective way to protect you and your children against infectious diseases that may cause serious illness, permanent damage or even death.
The City of Mitcham provides a free immunisation service as a readily available method of keeping you and your family safe and preventing the spread of infectious diseases. However, we can only make the service available to the community, it is up to you to ensure that you are fully immunised.
The City of Mitcham holds four regular public clinics within the Council area. These clinics are provided in accordance with the recommended vaccination schedule and the current National Health and Medical Research Council guidelines. Some vaccines are Government funded and are provided at no cost. However, other vaccines are provided on a cost recovery basis.
There is no need to book into the immunisation clinics, just arrive between the allocated times with your child's 'immunisation record book' and Medicare card. Please be aware that new babies need to arrive at least 15 minutes before closing time as vaccines may not be given. The times and locations for the immunisation clinics can be viewed below.
The Immunisation Clinic held at the Mitcham Community Centre has moved to rooms 2 and 3.
