| WelcomeThe City of Mitcham is seeking five community representatives to fill positions on the newly created Executive Committee for the Mitcham Cultural Village located at 103b Princess Road, Mitcham. This Executive Committee, which is a Sub-Committee of Council will meet on a monthly basis and is being established to oversee the development and management of the Mitcham Cultural Village. The Mitcham Cultural Village will provide an environment where the community can have access to indoor and outdoor spaces that give the opportunity to participate in a range of activities in an environment of learning and sharing. Activities may include art, crafts, local history, woodwork, metalwork, drama, dance, gardening, physical fitness and spiritual fulfilment. Council is seeking individuals with any combination of the following skills and backgrounds in: Fundraising; Promotion; Community Development; Health and Wellbeing; Art; Financial Management; History; Craft; Performing Arts and Local Community Knowledge. Representatives will need to work towards the best interest of the whole Village, particularly if they are members of a user group. For more information click here. Learn hints and tips for taking better photographs for amateur photographers, with the Blackwood Photographic Club. Cost is $5 per person and includes afternoon tea.
