The City of Mitcham has 13 Council Members; 12 Councillors and a Mayor
During Local Government elections, people who live in the City of Mitcham elect 13 members of the community to form our Council, 12 Councillors and a Mayor.
Our Council Members serve a four-year term and we pay them with an allowance for their services. Our administration works on their policies and ideas.
Our Council Members look after different wards in our city; Babbage, Boorman, Craigburn, Gault, Overton and The Park Wards each have two Council representatives.
What do Councillors and the Mayor do?
They work with committees, community groups, individuals and us to address issues and better our city.

You can send invitations to community events for our Councillors and Mayor directly to each member or you can email all Council Members.

Babbage Ward encompasses the suburbs of Bedford Park, Pasadena, Panorama, Lynton and parts of Clapham, Eden Hills and St Marys.

Craigburn Ward encompasses the suburbs of Craigburn Farm, Bellevue Heights and parts of Blackwood, Coromandel Valley and Eden Hills.
Gault Ward
Gault Ward encompasses the suburbs of Hawthorn, Westbourne Park, Lower Mitcham and parts of Colonel Light Gardens, Clapham and Kingswood.
