The City of Mitcham invited feedback from the community on its draft 2020/21 Annual Business Plan, Budget & Long Term Financial Plan and Four Year Delivery Plan (draft Plans). A report on the consultation feedback will be brought to Council on Tuesday 30 June 2020.
Thank you to everyone who has provided feedback.
What are the Plans:
Council has a suite of strategic documents that work together to describe Council’s long-term aspirations, prioritise key areas of focus, and identify specific funded actions to deliver each year.
Mitcham 2030 sets the high level vision and strategic direction for Council over ten years. It provides 12 Themes which capture Council’s services and projects, and identifies the high level outcomes that we will strive to deliver. Mitcham 2030 is available here.
Feedback was sought on the following two draft documents:
- Draft Four Year Delivery Plan (summary) is available here. The Four Year Delivery Plan is Council’s strategic action plan for the next four years. It responds to Council’s aspirational strategic management plan Mitcham 2030, by identifying actions to deliver Council’s long term vision and goals. Community feedback was received in late 2019, to help identify key areas of focus for the next four years, referred to as Priority Themes, and new services and projects that will deliver against the Priority Themes. Identifying Priority Themes and new services / projects for a four-year timeframe, enables Council to better plan and deliver, and move towards achieving its long term aspirations.
- Draft 2020/21 Annual Business Plan, Budget & Long Term Financial Plan summary available here and full document available here. The strategic actions of the Delivery Plan inform Council’s Annual Business Plan, Budget & Long Term Financial Plan which sets out the actions that Council will deliver for 2020/21, including existing services and strategic actions. It outlines the financial requirements of Council, rates structure, financial modelling and Long Term Financial Plan considerations.
