The City of Mitcham has partnered with the City of Onkaparinga and State Government to deliver a 3 metre wide shared-use path, three pedestrian bridges, park furniture, supporting vegetation and landscaping along an approximately 800 metre segment of the Sturt River watercourse in Coromandel Valley.

We invite you to provide feedback on the draft concept design for Stage 3 of the Sturt River Linear Park (SRLP) Master Plan by visiting www.onkaparingacity.com/yoursay before Sunday 15 December. Stage 3 will link with the existing path near the Institute building (Main Road) through to Horners Bridge (Murrays Hill Road).

The landscaping and creek restoration works will require selected vegetation (including weed species) to be removed. New landscaping will be introduced into these areas consisting of native and ornamental plants to provide a sustainable and ecological approach to the river corridor complimenting the natural environment.

Treatment of woody weeds for removal is scheduled to be undertaken in May-September 2020.

Construction of the trail is due to commence early 2020 with landscaping works to follow.
