Urrbrae Wetland Open Day
Discover the new bird hide to study wildlife on Sunday 18 October from 1.30pm to 4pm.
The Friends of the Urrbrae Wetland invite you study wildlife from the new bird hide at the Urrbrae Wetland.
Bring your binoculars to view the local bird life on the ponds, maybe spy the shy Nankeen night heron in the reeds or find a family of parrots in the newly installed bird boxes high in the trees.
Check out the new ‘Bee Hotel’ and guess who might be rearing larvae there and investigate new seedling plantings in the established bushland.
The day will be run in a different format this year with information sheets developed for four different paths to allow visitors to walk, learn and explore.
Wetlands volunteers will be on hand to answer questions.
