The following information is provided to keep the community informed on community activity with respect to rail matters.

A hills community group is committed to improving rail services and reducing noise through the establishment of a rail bypass to divert freight trains away from the suburbs.

Rail and Transport Committee Minutes

The Rail and Transport Committee is an independent group of residents from the hills, with representatives from the Adelaide Hills, Mt Barker, Unley and Mitcham Councils, which meet to discuss various issues relating to the freight line and trains.

Please note that the community group - Rail and Transport Committee is not a formal Committee of Council constituted under Section 41 of the Local Government Act 1999.
