Ducklings were positioned along the fence line to emulate crossing Shepherds Hill Road at the pedestrian crossing opposite Blackwood Primary School, following Mother Duck along the Wittunga Botanic Garden fence to its entrance. Artist Monica Prichard set out to "not only highlight the way to Wittunga in a quirky and fun way, but to act as a traffic calming insertion to make commuters more aware of the children crossing".
