Reserve features

Ludgate Circus is at the north-west corner of Colonel Light Gardens and features an entrance arch with a tree-lined pathway through the centre of the grassed reserve. This entrance statement was constructed by the Government of South Australia with support for the City of Mitcham and was officially opened on 12 September 2023, by Nadia Clancy, Member for Elder.

Reserve history

Ludgate Circus, much like Oxford Circus, was initially designed as a secondary formal entrance to the suburb. It features a charming crescent shape with gardens. By 1925, Ludgate Circus had been beautifully planted with trees and shrubs, adding to its appeal and character.
