Brewvelo gears up on Goodwood Road
Jarrad Schwark has relocated his bicycle repair shop Brewvelo from Sydney to Goodwood Road, Cumberland Park.
Brewvelo offers traditional bicycle servicing and custom builds along with a range of specialty bikes including cargo bikes and accessories.
After a decade in Sydney, Jarrad and his wife were ready to return to Adelaide with their two children.
He opened the doors to his shop in November last year and teamed up with Hark Coffee Roasters at Panorama to offer takeaway coffees as part of the business.
He’s enjoying working in a larger showroom with plenty of parking and exposure thanks to Goodwood Road frontage.
As well as servicing all bikes including e-bikes, Brewvelo specialises in premium, one-off bikes including Factor bikes, which are ordered to a customer’s specifications and paintwork designs.
A former Cabra Dominican College student, Jarrad and his family are enjoying the Adelaide lifestyle and being closer to family, who live in Hawthorn and Lower Mitcham.
“I’m really enjoying the cycling culture here too – it’s such an amazing place to ride,” he said. “You can be in Uraidla by 7am having a coffee and be home by 7.45am and that’s pretty cool. It’s not something you can do in most cities.”
