Have your say on the future of Reade Park tennis facilities
The City of Mitcham is seeking community feedback on the future use of the former Colonel Light Gardens Social Tennis Club clubroom and three hard courts at Reade Park.
With the Social Tennis Club now relocated to Naomi Reserve, Council is considering options for the former clubroom and hard courts, including continued sporting use, other community uses or returning the clubroom area to public open space. No decision has been made to remove the clubroom. This is one of the options Council would like the community to consider.
Feedback is also being sought on whether the Reade Park Lawn Tennis Club’s current Saturday use of Hard Courts 1 and 2 should continue, or whether all three courts should be available for general community use.
The current arrangements are temporary and do not determine the long-term future of the site.
Visit Your Say Mitcham to learn more about the options and provide your feedback.
Consultation closes Sunday 4 October.
