Suffolk Road Reserve toilets now open!
The City of Mitcham has officially opened toilet facilities at Suffolk Road Reserve, Hawthorndene.
The new and accessible amenities support visitors using the reserve's playground, BMX track, and open space areas, while improving accessibility for the wider community's enjoyment.
The building includes an accessible unisex cubicle with baby change table and an ambulant cubicle, helping create a more inclusive and welcoming public space.
Open seven days a week during daylight hours, the toilets are cleaned daily to help maintain hygiene standards.
Designed with sustainability in mind, the facility incorporates natural ventilation, LED sensor lighting, rainwater reuse, and low-carbon construction materials to help minimise our environmental impact.
Surrounded by the natural setting of Suffolk Road Reserve, the building supports the growing use of this community space.
We look forward to welcoming the community to enjoy these facilities and thank you to everyone who provided feedback throughout the project.
