Teddies bring smiles to young visitors
City of Mitcham’s Immunisation Service has welcomed a delivery of hand-made teddies set to bring smiles to the city’s youngest visitors.
The teddies were created by the Pasadena Community Centre Knitting Group using wool donated by the local community.
They are a welcome distraction for little ones after vaccinations at City of Mitcham’s free immunisation clinics.
City of Mitcham hosts community clinics on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at the City of Mitcham Civic Centre, 131 Belair Road, Torrens Park, and Blackwood Community Centre at Tiwu Kumangka, 2-4 Young Street, Blackwood.
So far this year, the service has administered 1,140 flu vaccinations to the local community.
Flu vaccines are still available and are free for eligible residents.
The Pasadena Knitting Group meets on Thursday mornings from 9.30am to 11.30am at Pasadena Community Centre, 75 Adelaide Terrace, Pasadena.
