Road resurfacing works will take place on Eliza Place between Springbank Road and Panorama Drive from 19 October to 13 November 2026.

Works will include removal of the existing road surface, laying new bitumen seal, service cover adjustments and line marking reinstatement.

Expect temporary traffic management, reduced speed limits, short delays and some noise during works. On-street parking will not be permitted within the work zone. Property access will be maintained wherever practicable.

Keen to give your clothes a new home or save worn-out sheets from landfill?

Set Your Clothes Free is set to return to South Australia this month, a free drop-off event run by Cities of Mitcham, Marion and Holdfast Bay in partnership with Green Industries SA.

On Saturday 31 October from 9am to 3pm, residents are invited to visit Marion City Services, 946 Marion Road, Mitchell Park, to drop off:

  • Good quality clothing and footwear, ready to find a new home in a charity shop
  • Worn-out or poor-quality clothing, uniforms or footwear to be recycled
  • Household linens including old sheets and towels

Items that will not be accepted include belts, bras with underwire and underwear, cloth nappies, doonas and pillows, soft toys and mattresses.
