We are currently undertaking Black Spot Program safety upgrade works at the intersection of Winston Avenue and Caulfield Avenue in Cumberland Park.

Winston Avenue and Caulfield Avenue Intersection Upgrade

Work to improve the safety at the Winston Avenue and Caulfield Avenue intersection continues to progress, with the intersection scheduled to reopen to traffic by early July 2026, subject to weather conditions.

Over the last week, the community may have noticed progress on site as crews continue delivering the intersection upgrade, which is funded through the Australian Government’s Black Spot Program. The upgrade will improve safety for everyone using the intersection, including drivers, cyclists and pedestrians, through improvements designed to increase visibility, reduce crash risk and lower vehicle speeds.

Pedestrians can still walk through the intersection via footpaths during the works and nearby businesses continue to remain open and accessible. We encourage the community to continue supporting local businesses.

Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding while these important safety improvements are completed.
