Supporting electric vehicle charging in Mitcham
We're making it easier for you to choose cleaner, more sustainable transport by expanding access to public EV charging infrastructure across the City of Mitcham.
By investing in public charging stations and progressively transitioning Council's own fleet to electric vehicles, we're reducing our emissions while supporting the community's transition to low-emissions transport.
As new charging opportunities become available, we'll continue working with industry partners to improve access to convenient and reliable charging across our Council area.

Fast chargers at the City of Mitcham Civic Centre
We're installing new fast EV chargers at the City of Mitcham Civic Centre. These chargers are expected to be available by the end of 2026.
Kerbside charging trial
We're working with SA Power Networks and a Charge Point Operator (CPO) to investigate innovative kerbside charging solutions, including the potential use of existing Stobie poles.
These trial chargers will be subject to community consultation and depending on community feedback, are expected to be installed by the end of the year.
