Tiwu Kumangka

Tiwu Kumangka is home to Blackwood Library, Toy Library and Blackwood Community Centre for learning, creativity and connection.

Boasting modern, state-of-the-art facilities, Tiwu Kumangka is the vibrant home of the Blackwood Library and Toy Library Service, as well as the Blackwood Community Centre. It features a makerspace, community art room, study areas, meeting rooms, a community hall and a community kitchen designed for learning and sharing.

With warm and welcoming spaces that support interaction and growth, Tiwu Kumangka invites people of all ages to connect, share skills, and socialise.

Tiwu Kumangka, symbolising 'Return of the Yellow-Tailed Black Cockatoo' in Kaurna. Tiwu means Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoo and Kumangka is coming together. It is pronounced Tiwu = Tee-woo and Kumangka = Ga - mung - ga.
