Meals on Wheels SA has joined forces with City of Mitcham to offer cooking workshops at Cumberland Park Community Centre.

Meals on Wheels SA has joined forces with City of Mitcham to offer free cooking classes for older residents at Cumberland Park Community Centre.

‘Eating Well and Ageing Well’ is a series of five free workshops supported by The City of Mitcham, Meals on Wheels SA and the Department of Health under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme.

The workshops, to begin on Thursday 11 May, include practical cooking tips and the opportunity to socialise in an enjoyable and supportive environment.

The classes will include tips for increasing fluid intake, improving gut health, smart eating for better brain health, navigating supermarkets and Mediterranean eating.

Join the workshops on Thursdays from 11am to 1pm at Cumberland Park Community Centre, 390 Goodwood Road, Cumberland Park.
