Carols Program

Carols at Kingswood Oval with Flight Centre South Australia Program

The City of Mitcham and Flight Centre South Australia are delighted to present one of the highlights of the Mitcham calendar, the annual Carols event.

Celebrate the Christmas season at this joyful, family event with lots of singing and free family entertainment.

This year we are again celebrating our Carols event at Kingswood Oval with South Australia’s own Rachael Leahcar. Rachael will be performing Christmas hits from her newly released Christmas album ‘Together for Christmas’ and will be available to sign memorabilia at the event.

Popular children’s entertainers, Boomstars are returning this year to provide the children with an interactive fantastic time, dancing, singing and shaking it up. Be entertained with performances from The Greatest Showman by local company Pelican Productions and The Nutcracker by the Australian Classical Youth Ballet.

We also are excited to introduce three local emerging acts. Georgie and Jack Raft, Serena Martino Williams and Leading Men a classic sixties performance with world class harmonies, smart suits and Dean Martin style.

The kids will love the free face painting, game and crafts stall and the free jumping castle. Of course, the whole reason we are there, a visit from Father Christmas.

Our very own Mitcham City Brass together with St Joseph’s School, Kingswood Choir will be providing musical support during the evening, with a performance from the Mitcham Girls High Dance Ensemble and St Bernadette’s Primary School.

LED Candles are available for purchase on the night with proceeds going to local chaplaincy programs. Performers drawn from local churches and schools will again stage a nativity scene, complete with live animals.

A delicious feast is on offer with a variety of food vans and stalls for you to choose from including sausages, baked potatoes, hot chips, yiros, great coffee and tantalising vegetarian options.

Thanks to SA Water we will have the Quench Bench available for you to fill up your own water bottles, so please remember to bring them along.

To reduce our waste this year we are inviting you to download or read the words to the Carols electronically here. If you still prefer to pick up a copy they will be available on the evening.

Don’t forget the Oval has a reticulation system so no pegs can be used or we will be sitting in some rather large puddles!

Don’t forget to find our Carols celebration on Facebook to keep up to date with all the fun things that will be available on the evening and to ask any questions.

We look forward to seeing you!
