Council produces an annual report and quarterly reports to outline the Council's activities and achievements.
Annual report
Our Annual Report outlines our activities and achievements, full financial statements and operations. It also contains the required statutory information as detailed in Section 131 of the Local Government Act, 1999.
Copies of the Annual Report are available at the Civic Centre, 131 Belair Road, Torrens Park and can be viewed at the Mitcham Memorial and Blackwood Libraries.
Annual Reports
Quarterly reports
End of quarter reports for September, December and March are also presented to Council during each year, compiling all activities of each division in undertaking our work for the community. Below you will find our current and previous financial year quarterly reports, while above our Annual Reports provide an overall summary of our achievements.
Quarterly reports
Six-monthly stormwater update reports
We publish six-monthly stormwater update reports to keep our community informed about the progress of our Stormwater Management Plans, current capital works projects and key initiatives across the City of Mitcham. These reports outline what we’re delivering, what we’re planning next and how we’re prioritising projects through our Stormwater Project Priority List. By sharing this information regularly, we support transparency and accountability, and demonstrate our ongoing commitment to good governance and informed decision-making.
Monthly reports
We publish monthly financial reports to provide an interim update on Council’s financial performance, outlining year-to-date results and progress between formal budget reviews. These reports support transparency and accountability and reflect our commitment to good governance and informed decision-making. Monthly reports are not prepared for June or July, as June figures are finalised through our Annual Financial Statements, which include end-of-year accruals and adjustments. These statements are presented to Council in November. Because of this process, a July report is also not produced. Regular monthly reporting resumes from August.
