What is the Community Facilities Grant?
The Community Facilities Grant is a $43,000 funding pool that helps to improve facilities and grounds in the City of Mitcham. We can match the grant amount to your project’s other funding sources up to $5,000.
Who can apply for this grant?
You can apply for grant funding to help improve your facility or grounds if you’re a not-for-profit community facility in the City of Mitcham, like a:
- Sport or recreation club
- Community hall
- Volunteer organisation

When do applications open?
Applications open on 1 February 2025. You can apply for the Community Facilities Grant at any time until the funding pool is totally allocated. Please make sure you include all relevant paperwork with your submission.

If your grant application is successful
If you’re awarded funding from our grants program and have delivered your project, don’t forget to complete your evaluation report . You can’t apply for another grant until we’ve received and approved it.
