We offer recurrent grants to give ongoing support to local groups and organisations, so they can confidently continue supporting our community.
What are recurrent grants?
Recurrent grants give money to community groups and organisations whose activities contribute to the health and wellbeing of our City. We’ll be reviewing all current recurrent grants in 2023.
Current groups that receive a recurrent grant
- Mitcham City Brass
- Lions Club of Blackwood receive a recurrent grant to help run the Blackwood Christmas Pageant.
- Rotary Club of Coromandel Valley receive a recurrent grant to help run the Christmas Fair.
- Blackwood Hills Baptist Church receive a recurrent grant to help run the Blackwood Hills Carols.
- Blackwood & Districts RSL receive a recurrent grant to help run the ANZAC Eve Vigil.
Currently there are no Recurrent Grants available for the community to apply for.
Harvey Hayes Memorial Grant
The Harvey Hayes Memorial Grant supports Flinders University students in honour of the late City of Mitcham town clerk, Harvey Hayes. Harvey served as the City’s town clerk from 1952 until 1979.
If you’re a Flinders University student who currently lives or previously attended secondary school in the City of Mitcham, you may be eligible to apply for the grant. The funding is awarded annually and $1,000 is available per student.
